ORCA Peru receives no Governmental help and all donations directly fund all our rehabilitation and research programs with no hidden costs. We rely on receiving interns and volunteers from around the world to help our cause and witness and experience first hand our work. If you are interested in marine biology, veterinary science, ocean conservation, marine mammalogy or just want to experience something completely different for 2 weeks to many months whilst learning about all of this, the intern or volunteer program is for you.
No two days are the same and your time here will depend on the current issues, whether this is an influx of sea lions in rehabilitation, penguins and sea turtles who need help; carrying out research on dolphins and whales from boats or on land. You will need to be adaptable and prepared for action at any moment as a marine mammal in trouble will require immediate assistance. You will be given a large amount of responsibility and work up close with the marine mammals in the center. If you would like to here more from a previous intern read her blog post here:
