Our South Pacific Marine Rehabiliation Center is
critical to our rescue and
rehabilitation operations every year.
ORCA is the sole organization in
Peru dedicated to rescue, rehabilitation, and release of sea-lions, dolphins, marine otters, penguins, and sea turtles.
Over the years, operations of ORCA's marine rehabilitation
Center has been funded with the revenue
from the International Participation
Programs. In a rough year, up to 135 marine patients could reach our center in need of medical attention. Every year, the stranding seasons arrive reaching peaks of marine patients
during summer and winter time. Each of our patientes need a $250 budget to cover rescue expenses, lab work, medicines, fish, life-support personnel, and veterinary expertise.
