The year 2014 was the most successful year for our rescue and rehabilitation program!  During 2014 we experienced the most intense and successful year of our history rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing sea-lions along the coast, hand in hand with the public, police and media. The press that year got involved very much alerting us about strandings and ocean issues, the product of a decade planting the seed of ecological values to safe lives. However, in 2015, the challenge began to became overwhelming with the imminent arrival of "El Niño" that will have devastating effects upon the marine ecosystem and local marine mammals. Several things have happened this two years: ORCA lead the media campaign against cetacean captivity, we released the first fully rehabilitated sea-turtles of two species, baby newborn sea-lions swam back with their mothers, and we continued rehabilitating weanling sea-lions to go back to the wild as a new hope for its species. All of these just to get ready to what is coming next...
